Labor Day celebrates work! Before you moan, remember that God gives us the privilege of work. Work done well and with our heart in it honors our Creator.
When God created Adam and Eve He placed them in the Garden of Eden and left them to care for it. They were also given the responsiblilty of having dominion over the Earth and it's creatures.
Work is not part of the Curse! However, after the fall of man, work was cursed in the sense that it became more difficult to do. Adam had to fight weeds and work by the sweat of his brow. In other words, a struggle was added to work that was not there before.
Someday, when God lifts the Curse, we will labor joyously and with great fulfillment for all of Eternity! Until then, count your blessings that you are able to work because some people can't for various reasons beyond their control.
AMBER UPDATE: She is doing well today, appearing to be seizure free. She still seems to be tired, but is enjoying eating pizza fries! Thanks for your prayers!
PRAYER ALERT: I could use your prayers this week as I will be speaking/teaching four times from now through Sunday. I want to be able to do it with freshness, clarity, and passion. When we have weeks like this, Satan loves to attack in different ways. Your prayer support is vital! I extend that request to include the other two pastors, Bobby and Jeff as well. We will be leading the Men's Challenge Advance this week and are trusting God to do some good things in the lives of those attending!
